[Huaisang answers the door, looking as immaculate as ever. There’s a hint of exhaustion behind his eyes though, even as he smiles and steps back to let Aaron inside.]

I made tea.

[He’s noticeably without his fan, out of sorts even in his own cabin.]

Is it that green shit that you order in the fancy restaurants?

Always smelled real nice, but I never had the money for it.

[His accent is lessened, but his words are clear. No stutter. Very intentionally made.]

Not wholly unexpected though. Not entirely. He’d had some guesses about his new friend, but no clue as substantial as this.

Huaisang sits across from him and pours the tea.]

It’s green, but you can have as much as you’d like now. No exchange of money or service required.

[He holds his sleeve and reaches for his cup, taking a small, unbothered sip.]

[He takes another drink.]

Damn, this is good. Look, Huaisang, here's the deal, alright? I'm going to lose my fucking mind for real in this place if I gotta keep this up and no one knows. That breach was -

[He's a good host, so he refills Aaron's cup of tea once he sets down the cup.]

I guess there's something to be said for having someone to rely on here.

[He sits back a little, flipping his sleeve up to keep it out of the way of his drink.]

It's an awful feeling when you're not in control. I get it.

[He doesn't pick the cup up again just yet. Instead, he folds his hands together.]

[He shrugs noncommittally, but there's a mischievous smirk tugging on the corner of his mouth.]

It's especially difficult when you act like you have nothing under your control. Isn't that what you do?

You never asked me why I'm here.

[He finally picks up his cup, watching his face before he takes a drink.]

Ah, I was accused of killing the Bishop. You got - uh - religious leaders where you're from? Spiritual folks? Clergy?

Anyway - the Bishop got slashed up and I was covered in his blood. Ran out of his room. They caught me, literally, red handed. [He laughs.]

And they still let me off because of the Aaron and Roy show. But I did it. Of course I did it.

[He nods, he can follow that there’s a hierarchy. It’s not an unfamiliar concept.

He looks a little surprised at the revaluation, then amused.]

You do play the roles well.

[He’s sincere about it. He clearly did his research and plotted well. A young mastermind, this Aaron.]
